In addition to direct support for veterans and their families, WDG maintains a secondary but integral mission to support animal shelters across the United States by adopting multiple dogs and cats for therapeutic and medical services. These animals may serve veterans, veteran families, and civilians in need, based on clinical, therapeutic, or safety-related necessity. WDG recognizes that saving lives both human and animal is paramount, and therefore prioritizes the placement, training, and deployment of these animals in ways that maximize life-saving, life-stabilizing, and life-enhancing impact.
